We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the relocation of technical infrastructure, including hardware, cabling, fiber optics, and services, from one site to another. The role includes end-to-end coordination of site moves—from site selection and preparation to network installation and service migration—while ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards through effective cross-functional collaboration and reporting.
Main responsibilities:
• Identify stakeholders in every site move and the dependencies between the different workstreams
• Support on the site selection according to the different stakeholders and company interests
• Collect requirements and elaborate initial budget estimation
• Coordinate all teams (internal and external) to ensure that the projects are executed according to the plan
• Collaborate with other project managers and line managers to optimize resource utilization
• Track progress and take actions in case of any deviation versus project plan
• Elaborate periodic project progress and spend reports that will need to be adapted according to the audience
• Prepare services migration plans with support from the different teams
• Identify risks elaborate and execute mitigation plans
• Ensure that all site moves are executed according to the client and highest industry standards
Requirements:
• Bachelor or higher degree is an advantage
• Minimum 5 years of experience managing projects of high complexity in the telecommunications industry and
with more than CHF 1M budget
• Capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously and ability to negotiate allocation and prioritization of
resources for the move projects
• Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability to work in changing environments
• Strong understanding of telecommunications technologies (xWDM, IP, optical and electric cabling, fiber build,
rack layout, and AC and DC power systems) to be able to collaborate with technical teams
• PMP or any other project management certification is an advantage
• Fluent in German and English, Swiss German and/or French are an advantage
